I've erupted

As you all know I've had a bad week what with husbands being more like ostriches etc etc..
So you'll all be happy to know that this morning I erupted. We were tidying last night and every time I'd try to broach the subject of our situation, Neb shrugged me off.

This morning though it all came to head when I vented my anger and went off on one- a bit like the volcano above. It all came blurting out and I told him that if I didn't get these things off my chest then our marriage wouldn't last. I even slapped him across the face (oops!).

We made up before I went to work with him apologizing lots for everything and promising that things would get better, and so far things are getting there I think.

We had Bel's birthday party today and he thanked me for organising a great cake (he did try baking one but disaster struck), for the party bags (filled with sweets, party toys and glo sticks) and for making Bel's party enjoyable.

He has kindly gone out to get me some chips now and some cider and when he gets back we will watch the rugby together and then do some more tidying ready for his mother's visit tomorrow.

I hope that this is the start of better days and that my posts will be happier and mad (again!)

Bye for now

Shiny Happy People

Back in the start of February, I was tagged by Pippa@A Mothe'sr Ramblings (I know I'm slow getting it done, sorry x) in the Shiny Happy People meme. I think this meme possibly originated with Rosie Scribble but I may be wrong

Anyway the rules of this meme is as follows:

1. Name a song that makes you happy - a song you would listen to if you needed a sudden injection of happiness. And
2. Post an image that makes you smile. It can be anything - a silly photo, an image taken from the Internet, It just has to make you smile.

Anyway the song  that always makes me smile, is a Take That classic that would bring us all rushing to the dancefloor when we are at uni and even now I am known to do the Lulu part when I hear it on the radio (I think its my red hair). This is a song with the boys looking very young in the video! But still very yummy so if you want to join me in some fwaooring (its a word honestly)

And now a photo, I've picked a photo from our collection which is us having fun with a book that we had bought for Car but I think we had more fun with it! first there's Bel - who looks to be a sleeping bear and then

 there's me:

As I've no idea who has or hasn't been tagged then please help yourself.

PS  have had a minor blow out at Neb but may not have sunk in time will tell and our car is not fixed and it is possibly the fuel pump!

Things must get better soon, musn't they

Well when you thought things were getting better (or I was doing a better job of ignoring them) they get worse.

At 3.50 today I got a phone call from Neb saying the car had broken down in the school playground.
It is still there. I have sent him to look at it - because quite frankly sitting on your ass watching telly ain't gonna fix it.
Thats when I lost it - I'd been humping at him because he seemed not bothered that the car had broken down and that if its was broken someone (me) would have to pay for it to be fixed!!

I got told "Stop stressing about things, there's no point getting all worried about it all"

I mean really ,I think he is doing this don't you:

Analytics and Referrals.

Now sometimes I get a bit anal about how people get here - not you - the other people and so I'm listed on Technorati (don't know what it is so don't ask me!) and I've set up google analytics to see where you all are (here).

Anyway I went on just now and there's been talk recently on the blogsphere about the traffic sources and the keywords that people use to get to you.
Now I thought my blog was quite normal so I don't normally look here but because I'm nosy a sheep I looked.

Here's a selection
- ooh there's posh (obviously about this post)
- st dwynwen's day in welsh (here)
- femibion and prozac blogs (well I use femibion but PROZAC - really!!)
-hot mummy wale - well thank you that sounds ok doesn't it but when you put into google, actually don't , especially not if in work - do I look like that kinda person!!!

PS now realised that if you put that in - I'm 4th but I may not be the kinda thing their looking for.

Fish fingers!!

Thank you all for being there for me yesterday when I hit a low spot.
It made a large difference to be able to get it all out there, out of my head and written down. I think sometimes it gets too much especially as my darling Bel has decided to turn into not a 6 year old (tomorrow!!) but into a 16 year old.
Yes my daughter over the weekend had turned into attitude stinking teengirl. Everytime I said something to her she would humph and ignore and slump and ... omg have I got all this to come. Does anyone want to adopt me so I can come and love with you when that happens?

But tonight, things are better. Neb - who still doesn't realise that I am breaking up inside, has gone to Welsh classes and my two little girls have turned into angels ( apparently its just happens like that!)
Bel thought it was cool that I'd cooked fish fingers and her wobbly tooth fell out. Apparently, by making them it, I'd turned into that mum who is shouting to cool mummy.

Sometimes the little things make us smile but I hadn't realised that mine would be this:

Forever hurts....

I can't go on like this no more
It seems to be taking forever
For Neb to find a post
And for life to feel better

I am crying all the time
No tenderness in this heart of mine
Even the children are taking the brunt
Of this life which is making me fade

I'm not a happy go lucky Mum
I'm just the money, the purse, the one
Who pays all the bills and never complains
When money is needed for his outings.

I struggle with it getting me down
I shout and I moan and I hate
A job, all he needs is a job
And then will our troubles be over?

Tis not as simple as that he says,
For Car needs to go to a creche,
So worth it a job needs to be
For all debts to be repaid.

I'm shouting at barking at children
Who are asking for this and that
I'm struggling to breathe
Please let me have peace.

Note: TO THOSE WHO KNOW ME: This is how I'm feeling but I don't think Neb realises, it is hurting me that I'm hurting my children by not giving them the full attention, I'm lasting and getting through but my head is constanly hurting. I'm going down fast but will be up again by the time you ring - I will not say this to your faces so please don't ask for me to, just understand that my life is not making much sense to me at the moment - but I will be here tomorrow and I will carry on because I have red hair and fierce independence.

I hate clothes shopping.

I hate clothes shopping - I can shop for clothes for the girls and for Neb, and I am good at pointing out things for friends but. I am the world's worst person to go clothes shopping for. Unless I'm in the mood (very rarely) there is no point. Neb has given up on suggesting clothes for me now.
This is why my style is very eclectic. I wear comfy clothes and work clothes and then a combination of both if going out. As my shape has changed from a normal size 14 (which apparently is an US 12) to a large size 18/20 (which again sounds better in US clothing size 16/18) I have a hell of a problem finding clothes which fit.

I'm currently sat here in that cardigan and a blue top that I wear for work and my jeans. Now I have a problem with jeans. I will find a pair that fit well in the shop with a struggle (large thunder thighs after carrying two 9lb babies and a jelly belly that does not suit low waisted jeans, and extra long legs!) and then they fit great until I wash them, then they seem to stretch and without the belt holding these up they would fall down as I walk down the stairs.
And then there are my boobs - which seem to have a life of their own. Which would be great but all the fitted tops that I like (you know the ones with buttons) always gape over tits! And then I have to remember that they can look as if they're sagging even though I wore a maternity sleeping bra in bed with both girls they do now look as if they are slowly moving down my body.

Then there are my feet - I absolutely loathe shoe shopping. I take a size 6 1/2 shoe but its not that simple. I have very wide feet and both my girls have inherited my wide feet. Bel has even inherited my MIL's high instep. So shoe shopping is more of a miss than a hit for me. I would love to have dainty feet so I could wear stylish shoes but as Clark's have now stopped doing wider fittings. M+S do a wide style in some of their ranges but I can't afford to shop there all of the time.(plus my nearest is about two hours car drive away!). So you will mostly see me in my one pair of M+S work shoes, my slippers or my merrells!

Even more than all this are colours, having red hair I tend to stick to two colours and their many shades, green and blue. Which of course drives Neb mad.  "not green again" is a favourite quote of his!

I think the worse thing is that I can't tell which clothes suit me or not - I have no idea what looks good , I know that I can't get away with the low cut tight tops and the micro mini skirts of my youth but what the heck should I wear. I envy the mother's at the school gate who all look well dressed and there's me (on the occasions when I am there) looking like I was dressed by daleks in the dark!

Am I alone in my lack of knowing what's right. I wish that I had a fairy "Gok Wan" style godmother to help me dress. Anyone know of one?

Have a nice weekend

Here come's Thomas...(SPONSORED POST)

This is a sponsored post

I recently reviewed the new and improved Thomas the Tank engine episodes, here, which can now be seen on Milkshake on 5 in the mornings ( I have to Sky plus them for Car!!).
But there is even better news, if you live down Sarf - and close to London ( i.e not in the backwaters of beyond like me) you can visit Thomas and Friends when they celebrate their 65th anniversary in style at everyone's favourite toy store, Hamleys!

So if you are free on Sunday 7th March from 12pm onwards, then visit Hamleys in Regent Street London for a free afternoon (YES a free afternoon!) of storytelling, competitions and Thomas & Friends screenings. Not only that but you could meet the Fat Controller ( we will be very jealous here if you do!) and make your own Fat Controller hat.

As well as seeing Thomas & Friends, you could help them break a record as with the help of world renowned cake maker Jane Asher (National Autistic Society patron) they are hoping to make the world's longest Thomas Train cake. So if you are going along, take a carriage cake with you (instructions here) and join in the challenge.

So if you live in or near London town, then go and join in the fun with Thomas & Friends, go on you know you want to, go on, please go and take some pics as I can't take Car and Bel.

Chocolate...... A Green&Black Review

Just before Christmas I (and several other mummies)were given the chance to eat test some chocolate thanks to the lovely people at Green & Blacks.
A few weeks ago my envelope arrived and you can imagine the look on Neb's face when he saw the whole lot that arrived through our door.
Here (courtesy of my scanner) is what we got:

Actually this is a bit less than we got as we have gone through 2 large bars of milk cooks chocolate already - one on making very scrumptious hot chocolates - melt few squares in  milk in microwave and whisk until hot and yummy yummy. I also persuaded Neb (didn't take much mind) to make the Scrummy Chocolate Swirl Shortbread (recipe inside wrapper)  which I was going to show you but I went to scan them and there's nothing left but some crumbs (it wasn't me honestly!)

Now if you don't know, Green & Black's was started thanks to the founder of Whole Earth -Craig Sams and his chocaholic wife, Jo Farley who apparently sampled some chocolate from his desk (we've all done that though!!!) and thanks to her the first organic chocolate bar started. More information on their story can be found here.

Not only is Green & Black's chocolate organic but also Fairtrade and without the farmers of Belize and Dominican Republic this wonderful chocolate wouldn't be possible.

Alongside the fantastically orgasmic chocolate, we got sent a tasting guide so here is me and Neb's thoughts (apologies to Wi and Wa who also had a taste but I've lost the piece of paper!Sorry!)

White chocolate - was definately the best White I've tasted ( no more MilkyBar buttons for me), vanilla seeds pepperd throughout and I tasted an almost citrus note to it (get me, with my notes!!)

Milk chocolate (32%) - after tasting the White this was a slight disappointment and even though it has more % in than a normal Dairy Milk it didn't have that much of a taste.

Milk chocolate (34%) - absolutely fantastic chocolate, a strong comforting chocolate that if Neb had let me I would have finished there and then

Milk chocolate with almonds  (37%) - a sweet praline tasting chocolate with large pieces of almond scattered throughout

Milk chocoate with butterscotch  (34%) - aboslutely delicious chocolate speckled with pieces of butterscotch which hits your tongue as soon as you eat it. The chocolate had a salty taste which complemented the sweet butterscotch well.

Dark chocolate with Cherry (60%) - Neb had to eat this one on his own ('cept for when Car snaffled a bit!) and he reported that he could taste hints of spice, rum and blackpepper in the chocolate with the cherry biting through this. He did note though that he found some pieces of cherry stone. BTW have just noticed that Cherry wasn't in scanned pic its because I've just found empty wrapper on windowsill!

Dark (70%) - another one for Neb (even though I did have a small corner) - intense dark flavour which even for Neb was too dark.

Neb hasn't as yet tasted the 85% dark as he says that he may have trouble eating it so we are saving it to give to FIL when we see them next.

Our overall experience was fantastic - I'm totally in love with Green&Black's now and would have chocolate covered babies for them if possible. My favourite was the 34% Milk chocolate and Neb's is the one with butterscotch in. The cooking chocolate is also fantastic and good enough to eat as 'normal' chocolate.

Thanks to Green & Black's for the chocolate and to Neb, Wi and Wa for helping me to taste it.

Sunshine after the rain

There will be sunshine after the rain ( or so the song goes - here) and if it doesn't then I've always got the lovely new award to look at which was given to me by It's a Mummy's Life.

Thank you very much for the award and for saying that I make you smile ( you must realise by now how mad I am...!!).

Right so the rules of the award are as follows:
  • Put the Logo on your sidebar, or within a post. (or both like me too!)
  • Pass the award onto 12 Bloggers. (yes really 12)
  • Link the nominees within your post.
  • Let the nominees know they have received this award by commenting on their blog.
  • Share the love and link to the person from whom you received this award
So I now have to find 12 bloggers to pass the award onto. So here goes:
Tara for now - that took a bit longer than expected... aagh better do some work this afternoon before its going home time.

To Pawridge or to porridge that is the question - REVIEW

On Friday I  was lucky enough to receive an envelope full of PawRidge sachets to try.
(I did try and scan them this morning but apparently our scanner refused!)

Paw Ridge Oats are 100% Quaker Finely Rolled Oats which are basically oats that have been milled super thin to produce a deliciously smooth porridge. They come in sachets for easy microwave cooking - well it would be easy for normal people with super good microwaves, unfortunately our microwave seems to have come from the stone ages so it did take longer than the suggested 90 sec.

So what did the girls think, well after watching me and then Neb struggle to read the bit on the sachet where it says pour milk to here i.e on the sachet and not measure it out, and then struggle to get them just right with our pants microwave they loved it. I will say though that if you do measure the milk it can be too much and you end up having to through it away!

I love having porridge on a cold winters day (something Neb thinks is gross) and I try not to make it lumpy and Bel will eat it but Car will just play with it. So I was very happy to find both my girls happily eating away, though it is quite hot when it comes out of microwave and care should be taken to ensure no mouth burning occurs. We added syrup to ours as it does need an extra sweetener I think but if your used to eating plain porridge then carry on.

Not only were they great to eat, me and Bel also played a Paw Ridge version of top trumps with the characters on the sachets, Brenda, Marv and Derek. There is also a fabulous website (here) which we will look at tonight with games and facts on.

At around £1.99 for 10 sachets it is a good breakfast but but I would also like to see it in normal unsachet packs for the dweebs among us who need a new microwave... unless there's anyone out there who will give me one??

From miracles to pizzas to more...

If you all read yesterdays post (here) you will note that Neb, DH got up early.
Readers, it got better...

I came home from work last night and he had hoovered all the downstairs, tidied the kitchen, washed up and got rid of our empty bottles. Now we had one or two bottles (left over from Christmas honest...!) and they were all gone.

L,Bel's godfather then came round as we are babysitting Thumper (rabbit) while him and his wife go skiing for a week. He then did some laptop maintenacne and moved pics onto our hard drive as Neb takes lots of them. While L and Neb did this the girls and I made easey peasy pizza. For all you pizza lovers this is simple and cheaper than buying bases from the shops.

You will need:
300g strong white flour
1 tsp instant yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
200ml warm water

Mix dry ingredients together, add wet ingredients and bring together with a spoon. Then turn onto lightly floured surface and knead for 5 mins. Cover and then use whenever. If the dough rises, knock it back and use.
This makes two large baking sheet size pizzas for us.
Put on pizza sauce (we use blitzed tin tomatoes with puree and herbs), toppings of your choice and cook at Gas Mark 8 for 8-10 minutes.
Anyway the girls, Car especially loves mixy mixy and hands mummy, love helping to make it and love eating it all up.

After L had gone we had ours, then we had pink fizz (it must have been the night for it...) and then I fell asleep on sofa.

Neb has now gone out (to get my valentine's card even though he is using the excuse that he is getting butter and bread!) and both the girls have gone with him. Peace and quiet (apart from next door's dog) is here but I'm keeping a ear out because I know he'll be back for the rugby.

Hope you all have a great Valentine's day - I shall see you all on Monday where I will be reviewing and posting an award!
Bye for now

Miracles have happened

Yes everybody you are reading correctly, Neb (DH) got up with me and Car this morning at 6am.
I know its a shock to you all, it was a shock to me too.. and then of course it went wrong.

Car and I are used to our mornings together, our time before Bel gets up. I normally have Top Cat and Bugs on for a bit and then we flip over to Ballymory for our morning fix (no actually not mine!).

But No, Neb wanted to watch Scooby Doo and then got stroppy when I asked him to put CBeebies on. He got stroppy with Car, moaned at me and then went on the laptop.
So now I was behind with my blog catch up (all of which I've just done quickly while waiting for a program to load in work!!) and behind with everything else.
Granted he did make the girls breakfast but because Daddy was down they had it in the living room and not in the dining room..grrrr.....

Anyway I better get back to doing some proper work!

Speak to you all soon

PS - I've added my marshamallow pic...

What is love, really?

After reading Sandy@Baby Baby's recent post "What is love" I thought I'd compile my own version of this - the BNM version...

  1. Love is having your husband hold your hair back so you don't get puke on it ( btw I hope that I win the choccies with this - see here if you think you'll stand a better chance
  2. Love is standing by your husband when he looks like the elephant man (here)
  3. Love is not laughing when your wife falls into the bath on your wedding night (after several drinks...) when trying to get into sexy underwear
  4. Love is having to constantly put up with your wife's bad taste in cheesy music, yet secretely loading it onto his ipod.
  5. Love is sticking with them through richer and poorer - although if someone has any idea how we can get richer please let me know.
  6. Love is letting your husband clean out the cats litter trays - when I was pregnant I used the whole toxic faeces thing now he just does it.
  7. Love is all the silly rhymes we put in our cards - no I'm not telling you what they are!
  8. Love is laughing at father in laws jokes for the umpteenth time!
  9. Love is cleaning up kids puke and cleaning up kids as wife would probaly join in the puke fest if she smelt it.
  10. Love is not minding that your wife drools when she falls asleep on the sofa.
  11. Love is letting your wife have one more go on Treasure Madness as she is honestly not addicted to it.
  12. Love is realising that sometimes when you explain complicated stuff to me (eg American football rules) that the uh huh means that I do want to hear more (and not  that I'm ignoring you...!)
  13. Love is definately not minding or complaining when your wife steals the duvet.
  14. Love is taking it like a man when you snore and your wife elbows you in the side and holds your nose.
  15. and finally love is because I do with all my heart even though there are times when I don't!!
For Neb with all my love - our wedding song.

I'VE ADDED THIS POST TO THE VALENTINE CARNIVAL

On the fluffy bunny mission....

Friday night I went out with the girls for our regular (ish) night out.
We had a great night and at one point I laughed so much I may have peed a little.

Being as I'm a good friend I took some of the Green&Black's chocolate with me for them to eat but got told that it looked like a highly illegal substance and that they weren't eating contraband food in the restaurant!! We had a lovely chinese!!
Both Wi and Wa know that I blog and I got admonsihed for not blogging that much recently but as I pointed out I had been doing lots of work and was still reading and commenting on other blogs. I then mentioned the fluffy bunny vlogs that I had seen online and not one to miss a challenge we went to find some marshmallows.

As I live in a small coastal town we had not much choice of shops so off we went to the first of two that would we open. Well after walking round the shop about four times, not taking Wa up on the alternative to marshmallows - oven scourers (painful), Wi accosted a staff member who went off on a hunt for them. He came back empty handed and out we went.
We then went to the other smaller shop, found some marshmallows got comfortable on a bench on the main street and began.

Now I'm not brave enough to vlog myself so Wi took some photos of the ordeal fun. The girls wrapped a scarf around my head so that noone would recognise me - (It did look as if I was being tortured in some way!) and I managed, wait for it ....4! The problem I had, I think was not a small mouth but the fact that I stuffed a fluffy bunny in too far and had to stop myself from gagging.....

Wa went next and managed 9 and then as Wi is not one to be beaten she managed and impressive 10!!

I was hoping to add the picture of my fluffy bunny failure here but am still waiting on it....

Hope your all having a great week...BNMx

EEEUGHHHHHHH

Please don't read the following if having your breakfast.... no really don't!

How do I get her to cough it up - no not spit it out cough it up!
Car has a very loose cough and she has been swallowing the expe, crap I can't spell it phlegm.
I can see its starting to annoy her. Anyway after a play in the park yesterday where all I got was seesaw please (she is very polite, I've no idea where she gets this from!!) she had a huge coughing fit before we got into the car.

So being a good mum (or so I thought) there's me trying to get her to spit it out until Neb says - "don't teach her to spit that's not ladylike!". So she doesn't spit - no she spews it out ..all over her coat... not spit, not spew but streams of phelgm.... uuuh .. amn not very good at any kind of puke stuff so there's me trying not to be sick . It dribbles out of her mouth and sticks to her coat, rivers of whiteness!! It stops (or so I thought!) and I put her in the carseat where she starts again and like the good mother I am I catch it.....

I don't think my husband will ever recover from the look on my face when I wiped it off with a tissue!!

The elephant man cometh...

Hello all.

Its been a very busy week here chez BNM, mostly covered in snot but hopefully by the end of the weekend we will all be covered in chocolate

The girls are still ill though Bel is now back in school - Car is still covered in snot bless!! The shouts of juice are being replaced with shouts of Medsin mummy, tissue Mummy, awi Mummy!

To make matters worse Neb has turned into the elephant man as half is face is now swollen due to a bad tooth - he is meant to be having the root canal next week if the swelling goes down. I was going to post you a picture of the elephant man here but its really revolting and not what we all want on a Friday!

Tonight I'm off out with W+W for our monthly(ish) girls meal - it was meant to be at chez BNM - but needless to say my tidy house preXmas is now a mess again!! As you know from a previous post (see here) we will not be eating any dogs dinners thank you very much but I may be kind and take some of the lovely Green and Blacks chocolates with me for them to try.

It was a lovely suprise when I opened my post yesterday and discovered not one not two but several Green & Blacks chocolate bars in the envelope.  Even Neb who is in pain said blimey love - I then had a make up a small white lie about how I'm reviewing them by email (will probaly not go to heaven now!!) but we are all looking forward to eating the chocolate!!

Anyway off to do some more work (!)

The wrong side of the morning.

Welcome. It's 5.33 am.  Car has decided that its time to come "stairs Mummy".

This is the conversation I've just had with her:

"Milk Mummy"

I wake up turn lamp on and give her her milk and then put her back into her cot.

I go back to bed and try and sleep when "juice Mummy". I try and ignore it so it then turns into "Huggie Juice mummy"

I get out of bed pass her the juice, and try and get her back into her cot.

"Mummy Bed, Lights off". I put her into our bed - move her over so I have space and then try and get into bed.

I lie down "Milk Mummy", "No Car", demandingly "Milk Mummy" Neb turns over and says "NO".  I try and close my eyes - demands get louder and I get up go to loo and take her dstairs Mummy.

I am sitting on the sofa with the lights off in the living room (hoping she'll go back to sleep) with blankie over us ( opened out sleeping bag) with Boomerang on (Cbeebies doesn't start until 6 am - neither does much else -so luckily for me its Top Cat!!

Answers as promised

Hi all.

Well I'm back even if both the girls are down with the dreaded lurgy that everyone seems to have. Bel went to school yesterday and today but with the temperature she has this evening(again!!) I don't think she'll be in school tomorrow and we will probaly be off to the doctors. Car is now offing, as she calls it too and all I get asked now is tissue mummy tissue. So both the girls are in bed and as Neb is out in pool here I am all yours trying to catch up and ready to answer all the questions.

So here are the answers:

1) After checking with Very Bored in Catalunya on Twitter and finding out that I can only pick one favourite famous Welsh person... I pick  aaagh I can't pick one .. I tried so (sorry) here's too:

Rob Brydon for making me laugh

and Ioan Gruffudd who I wouldn't throw out of my bed any morning.

2) Thankfully Insomniac Mummy had an easier choice - and I choose Bourbons.. custard cremes should in fact be banned in my world.

3) Well really Gigi's should be 3/5 seeing as it took her a while to think of the question. In answer to your question Gigi, I decided to start blogging because I needed to get things out of my system. Neb and me are in a financial slump - where I'm currently the sole earner and short of me burying him under the patio (with a little help from some friends can I say) I started to read blogs and then eventually I was (gulp) brave enough to start my own. It took me a while to think of a name but I just wanted somewhere where I could lay myself bare, lay my feelings out and Bare Naked Ladies was on the radio so I came up with Bare Naked Mummy. I'm also lucky that I haven't had many random followers of the dirty old men kind.

4) Now onto SuperLittleMen (whose blog you need to check out if only to share your love with her) (ooh and btw I now know that I know her in the non blogosphere and this is such a hard question!!)
.... see mind blank now.. what do I do when (I think) noone is lookin...erm....

5) To It's a Mummy's Life it would have to be Jeremy Kyle as even I couldn't go as far as Gordon Brown. But hey if you all don't know which you'd procastinate with when the world is ending then I will let you chose
Jezza:

or
Gordon Brown!

... look he's pouting at you(!!)

6) To Tara's demands I confess that I love really cheesy 80s music and while writing this tonight I am listening to a mixture of songs from Glee - cheese to the max!CHEESE!!

Thanks to Notes to self for questions 7, 8 and 9...

7) One of my recent most memorable blogging moments was actually to appear on Josie's blogroll for the Sleep is for the Weak writing workshop. I felt like a big part of something that day, and even though non bloggy friends say my work is genius it made me cry to think that someone who is an old blogger a long time blogger thought that of me! And to think that it all came from a Tuesday Twitter ( PS To all of you who follow me on Twitter - Tuesday is normally the night to find me!!

8) After looking at my reader and sighing at the number of blogs I follow I promise to get back to this question about my favourite top five bloggy posts later...

9) I would love to live in a forever clean house with my family in a land where money was not needed and everything would be free.. if that's not possible somewhere close to the sea and warm please... New Zealand would do fine! (I think its to do with being Welsh and the sheep ratio....!!)

10) To Make do Mum -one of my gulty pleasures is being able to eat the Nutella straight from the jar while watching a super cheesy classy film like Dirty Dancing (because who wouldn't have wished to be able to dance with Patrick Swayze like that --- umm and I know the words too!!)

11) Tattie Weasel - I have honestly no idea who I'd like to be for a day... I don't think answering this is going to be happening anytime soon -I am happy being me but I think maybe I'd like some of someone else's cleaners/ money!!

12) due to my dodgy shift button that nearly became q120(!)... right then £500 - I think Josie that I would cut my hair because believe me it looks like I've been dragged through the hedge backwards most of the time and I haven't cut mine since before Car was born (!) and then I'd treat myself to some new clothes but picked by someone like Gok Wan (do we think he'd give his services for free!) and then I'd hire myself a chauffeur and go and meet up with some of my friends and go out for the evening all glammed up.
I've just wrote that and realised that I may need more than £500!!!

And a final thank you to Organic Motherhood with Cool Whip
who's nearly as mad as me but here's a question for you What the heck is cool whip?

So there you are .. my answers... I told you I was mad didn't I... and now I'm going to catch up with you all.
I hope to blog again this week but its gone super busy in work now the damned students are back and examboards are looming but as Car is getting up super early again you'll proably get some half awake jibberish!!
Also I need some ideas on Pirate party games for Bel's birthday party which we will be holding on the last Saturday of the month. I'd also like a simple cake idea!!

Cheers for now - there's a beer in the fridge that has my name on it!!!

Monday, 1 February 2010

Helloo....

Yes its me - and I'm not really here.
Bel was off school for three days last week with a fever, cough and cold. She is now getting better and will be back in school today.
Car though has now started coughing and pointing to different parts of herself saying it hurts...

Me I'm awake (kinda - been up since 6am!) but am very busy in work so have no time for a proper post - ie answering all your questions, but hopefully if not too tired tomorrow will do so then!! I am still trying to keep up with you all and comment but if I don't then I will.

Bye for now
Gotta get dressed...BNM (in my dressing gown!!)
